Be straight with the commission early

On the island, the Architectural Commission reviews materials closely, and on a landmarked property it may hold out for quarried stone. We don't supply quarried stone — everything we press is concrete, coloured through the body.

That's not a problem on most properties, and it's a hard stop on a few. Either way, put full-size samples in front of the reviewing body before the order is placed. At Palm Beach order values, a stranded pallet is an expensive way to find out.

West Palm and the surrounding towns are considerably more flexible, and the full range goes there routinely.

Custom colour is worth it at this scale

Custom colourways carry a minimum quantity that a single house rarely reaches. An estate does. If you're cladding at that volume, a colour nobody else on the island has is a genuine differentiator and costs less per square foot than people assume.

It has to be settled at design stage, though — custom pressing runs four to six weeks and can't be squeezed once the programme is moving.

Oceanfront specification

Direct Atlantic exposure is the harshest condition we supply into, and the specification isn't negotiable:

• Pale faces so salt bloom doesn't read
• Stainless lath and fasteners, never standard galvanised
• Breathable penetrating sealer, re-done every five years
• Fresh-water rinse twice a year

Estate-scale ordering

Two things matter more here than anywhere. Batch the whole order — a large estate clad from two pours will show a tonal seam, and on a property like this it will be noticed. And order the architectural elements at the same time, so the planters and terrace pieces match the cladding exactly rather than approximately.

Delivery to Palm Beach

Order by early afternoon on a stocked collection and it's usually on site the next working day. Non-stock patterns and custom colours run four to six weeks, so tell us early if the schedule is tight.
