For Architects
Specifying Our Material
Dimensions, performance data, and a sample in your hand — without a sales call attached to any of it.
Miami Stone Veneer Specialists restructured from installation into supply partly because of how architects buy. You need information eighteen months before anyone breaks ground, and you need it without being sold to.
What you can have today
- Dimensioned drawings for every format in the range. Real face sizes, real thicknesses, in a form you can put in a detail.
- Spec sheets — compressive strength at 200 to 250 kg/cm², composition, substrate compatibility, fire classification.
- Full-size samples. Not chips. Colour and texture read completely differently at 24 inches than at 4, and specifying off a chip is how projects end up with a surprise.
Three things worth knowing before you spec
Batch consistency is a design-stage decision. Concrete colour drifts slightly between pours. On a large or phased facade, the order needs to be batched and reserved upfront. If that isn't written into the programme, you'll get a visible tonal seam and there's no fixing it afterwards.
Mould repeat scales with elevation size. Every manufactured stone repeats. On a small wall nobody notices; on 2,000 square feet everybody does. Specify collections with six or more formats for large fields, or plan to band two collections.
Relief panels are a lighting decision. Deep-relief panels depend entirely on grazing light. If the lighting design front-lights them, the specification is wasted. Get the lighting consultant into that conversation early — it's the most common way a good panel choice underdelivers.
Where we'll tell you not to use our product
Below a pool waterline. On a horizontal trafficked surface. On a historic facade where a review board requires quarried material. And on close-contact surfaces — a bar top, a bench — where the density of real stone is genuinely felt.
In those cases we'll tell you to spec quarried stone from a stone yard. We only press concrete, and being wrong in a submittal costs you far more than the order is worth to us.

A lobby has about four seconds to say what the property costs. Large-format stone and deep-relief panels are how that gets said.

We sell both, so here's the version without a thumb on the scale — including when we'd tell you to buy the quarried stone.

What documentation can you provide for a submittal? +
Spec sheets with compressive strength and composition, dimensioned drawings for every format, and full-size physical samples. Tell us what the package needs and it goes out the same day.
Will the product still be available when we build? +
For anything in the stocked range, yes — these are long-running collections, not seasonal lines. If you're specifying two or three years out, tell us and we'll flag anything we'd hesitate to guarantee that far ahead.
Can you supply a custom colour? +
Yes, colour-matched to a sample or a reference. Custom colours carry a minimum quantity and a longer lead time, so they need to be settled at design stage rather than during construction.
Do you do lunch-and-learns? +
We'll come to the office with the full sample range and talk through what actually fails in this climate. It's more useful than a slide deck, and it's free.
